The Medina YMCA recently went back to the 1970’s and held its first Disco Zumba night. Led by Alma Holland and Brandi Zavitz, approximately 28 exercisers enjoyed the evening. The YMCA was complete with disco music, sequins, bell bottoms, glitter and a disco ball. Linda and Emily Drum also added there expertise as instructors for the evening.
Zumba is more like dance then exercise, using latin inspired music. Zumba enthusiasts shared their weight loss stories over healthy snacks. Several area businesses donated door prizes for the night in support of womens fitness and good health including the Book Shoppe, Celebrity Day Spa, and Ashlee’s Place. Call the Medina YMCA to find out how to join in a Zumba class. (585) 798-2040.
