          The Village of Middleport’s tree lighting ceremony will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Friday Dec. 3 at the christmas tree on the corner of Main Street and Park Avenue.  Following the lighting of the tree, cocoa donated by the Middleport Area Tourism and Beautification Committee and cookies donated by the Royalton Hartland Business and Professional Association will be served at the Universalist Church dining hall located on Main Street directly across from the Village christmas tree.  Members of the  Middleport Community Choir will be on had to sing some favorite christmas songs.

The Lockport Theatre Organ Society presents a Christmas Concert with Tim Schramm and Company. Come and enjoy the music of the Mighty Wurlitzer Theatre Pipe Organ and piano starting at 7 p.m. on December 6 at the Lockport Senior Citizen Center, 33 Ontario Street in Lockport. Refreshments are served during the intermissions and there is free Parking behind the Senior Center. Admission is $5 per person.

The Town of Royalton Historical Society will be holding it’s Annual Christmas luncheon starting at 1 p.m. on Thursday, December 2nd . It will be held at Town hall and everyone is asked to bring a dish to pass. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Jennifer Bieber at 716-735-7335.

Christmas at the Schoolhouse by the Hartland Historical Society will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on December 5. Visit the Old Schoolhouse at the corner of Seaman and Carmen Roads for old-fashioned Christmas cheer. Enjoy a ham or roast beef dinner with mashed potatoes, squash, green beans, roll and coffee. Adult price is $7.50, children 5-11 pay $4 and under 5 are free. There will be door prizes, 50/50 raffle, a bake sale and more. Enjoy live music by Paula Phillips from 1 to 3 p.m. For information contact Butch Schultz at 735-9032.

The Middleport Rod and Gun Club will start winter meetings again at the home of Mark Pittler in Gasport  f you have any questions, feel free to contact Mark at 716-772-2207 or Kevin Teeter at 716-439-5862. The new Blackpowder Aggregate has started at the club. Next shoot will be at 1 p.m. on November 21. If you’ve wanted to learn to shoot black powder firearms, this is a great way to learn.   From 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. there will be a rummage/bag sale held at Middleport Universalist Church on Main St.  Enjoy the mini bazaar, Rada cutlery and have coffee and danish , muffins or a doughnut. Take a coffee break with friends and start your gift shopping early this year.

Always Christmas at Standish Jones in Gasport  4440 Central Ave will be holding an Open House on Sat Nov 6th. The second floor store has Christmas all year round. Visit Always Christmas for Christmas and Holiday decorations. Open House is Noon to 5 p.m. and this store will certainly put you in the Holiday spirit.
