The Sesquicentennial Committee will be serving hotdogs starting at 6 p.m. on Sat. March 28th at the Middleport Fire Hall as the start of the Village’s Sesquicentennial Celebration Kickoff. If you’re interested in local history there will be local collectors of Middleport memorabilia with displays set up in the Fire Hall for resident’s enjoyment.
At 7:00 p.m. The Middleport Community Choir will begin singing, followed by acknowledgements by elected officials to help celebrate the Village’s Milestone. Visitors can also purchase calendars and mugs to celebrate the occasion.
If you are interested in purchasing a commemorative brick for the walkway, order forms are still available at the Village Hall and will be available at the reception on March 28th. The cost is $50 per brick and after the celebrations the brick walkway will be an ongoing fundraiser and the bricks will be handled by the MATABC after the Sesquicentennial.
